Consider this.......

I often times hear from my Bride’s, “I don’t want to use roses, they are too boring and typical”, or, “uuugh, no carnations, I HATE carnations!”
Here’s an idea to consider when planning for your reception….... Jazz up your “typical” blooms with a fun and exciting container. Sometimes the container absolutely makes the arrangement. A single variety arrangement (example: a mass of red roses) makes much more of a statement if you arrange them in vase wrapped in a printed paper or beautiful ribbon as opposed to a clear glass vase. I have designed entire events around a ribbon I find or a fun fabric swatch. Sometimes it can be more cost effective too. Take those inexpensive carnations that everyone hates (I love them by the way!), and arrange a mass of them in a fun container and they become something totally different and unique. It’s kind of like when you put on a fun, new outfit. You’re beautiful on your own, but when you put on those new cropped skinnies, a fun top and a printed scarf you feel like a brand new woman! Those flowers want to feel the same way. The container is so important to the self-esteem of your blooms.
To cut back on the cost, find inexpensive vases (craft stores and flea markets are a good place to go), find a fun printed paper (www.paper-source.com) and cover them yourself. I use double sided tape and it works just fine! It even comes off easy in the dishwasher when you’re ready to reuse the vases. Most florists and event stylists will work with vases that you provide. If they provide the vases plan on increasing the cost of your arrangements by at least $20 each and that’s for small vases. You can probably get the job done for half of that. Get your bridal party to help with the task…. Give them wine and sweets and they would be more than happy to help.
That's it for now! I hope I have given you some inspiration!

Thanks for tuning in,

Tulip loves you!
